Holiness and the Bible
I am interested in rediscovering the biblical doctrine of holiness and offering it anew to the 21st century. I believe that the time is right for a fresh articulation of the doctrine. Keith Drury declared the death of the "Holiness Movement," and I think that he is mostly on target. I believe that the modern church (mainline, emegent, old-school holiness, non-denominational, et al) desperately needs to hear the holiness message in a clear and compelling way.
As Wesleyan-Arminian-Holiness thinkers, what are the obstacles to such a project? What are the key questions? What texts and concepts need to be explored or reexplored? Who are some contemporary thinkers/writers whom you find helpful in this area? Any interest in conversation?

We discussed some of these issues at the Saving Grace Conference of the Wesleyan Church with a number of potential explanations raised. I'll try to post a list of them sometime today. Chris Bounds here is a great one to get into the discussion. I don't know if Keith Drury wants to weigh in or not.
